DCxRIO Conference Follow Up

This past week we just finished up the very first DCxRIO event and it went incredibly well.  The attendees seemed pretty impressed at what we threw together according to a short survey post event. Everyone said they were “extremely satisfied” and “likely to return”. We had about 20 people show up. Day 1 was the Junto, Day 2 was an organized beach day, Day 3 we had four incredible speakers and some speed masterminding, followed up with a typical Brazilian dinner and a roof-top party on Copacabana Beach. Day 4 we went hang gliding. Day 5-7 was the Focus 55.  It was a week crammed pack full of networking, learning and fun.  We had people travel from Florianopolis, Brasília, Salvador, Cuba and a couple others that were in Colombia decided to pop on down.

The weather gave everyone a nice welcome into Rio on Thursday.

On Thursday the 18th we held the February Junto at Felice Caffe at Ipanema Beach!

On Friday we all headed to the beach to recover from any jet-lag 😉

Saturday we had the conference with four incredible speakers!

Speaker #1 ~ Anonymous

Our first presenter we can’t talk too much about. He is an actual hacker-hunter who has worked for the US government and now working with a company that protects multi-million dollar businesses and corporations. Those that attended the event got to hear the low-down about Cyber Security and how we can protect ourselves and our businesses.   He does wish to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, but we snuck in a picture for y’all.

Speaker #2 ~ Gabby Wallace

Our second presenter was the famous Gabby Wallace. Founder of GoNaturalEnglish.com andLapTopTeacher.com. This gal has presented at TEDx and will be speaking at DCBCN for good reason. She is a YouTube rockstar going from 10,000 to 115,000 subscribers in less than one year. Gabby has so generously offered her share her presentation and a 56-page guide for y’all.

Speaker #3 ~ Dr. Martin Kregnel

Up next was Dr. Martin Kregnel. Dr. Martin is an author, content marketer and brain productivity specialist. He has written 9 books, and published 4 of them himself. In the past 10 years he has sold 100,000 hardback copies of his books and gave us some value bombs on branding, working with the media, and self publishing.

Speaker #4 ~ Colin Andrews

Our final speaker was the powerhouse salesman Colin Andrews. Colin is the co-founder of IdeaBuyer.com. IdeaBuyer will pull in around 4 million this year and has a top-notch sales team of 11 people. He is the man that built that team.  Colin dropped value bomb after value bomb after value bomb during his presentation and put the audience in shock-mode.  We have to keep his presentation private also but we’ve got a nice little picture for you guys.

After all the speakers, we had a round of speed masterminding.

Then off to a Brazilian dinner on Copacabana beach!

And a nice little rooftop party with a stunning view!

Then some hang gliding on Sunday!

On Monday we started our Focus 55…a 55 hour intense goal setting work-a-thon. This is a time where we put all things aside and knock out one or two really big goals for our business. A BIG THANKS to Noah Everton for creating the Focus 55 and letting us roll with the idea!

Focus 55 Results

A BIG THANKS goes out to all the speakers, Jessica Malnik for helping us promote this, Freddy Lansky for coming up with the idea and helping me arrange the details, Dan and Ian for letting us run with our ideas, and all the attendees for coming and being a part of the very first DCxRIO event.

When it was all said and done, we had an incredible week full of learning, business growing, networking and fun.  If you haven’t attended a DCx event yet, do your best to make it out to one. It was totally worth it.

For now,

Saludos from Rio de Janeiro!
